Allow Unregistered User to View Classifieds

Ok. I'm sure it is either something i'm missing or a setting i have wrong. But right now an Unregistered cannot view my Classifieds. What do I need to check to allow Unregistered to view.

I have the "Require users to be registered to view images?" Set to "NO"

Thanks

How about category viewing permissions under admin edit categories?

dan@ September 26th, 2009 07:14 AM

I have Unregistered checked to view ads. The only ones i have unchecked are the Banned usergroup

You sure you have the usergroups synced correctly what are the display order on them by name?

dan@ September 26th, 2009 06:38 PM

I have not altered the default order from VB or PPClassifieds, other than a couple new ones i have added, they are at the end.

If you are meaning the order they are listed when I go to Photopost Classifieds Usergroup Editor.
Banned, Coppa, Unregistered, Registered, Administrator, Administrators, Moderators, Banned Users, Site Supporter, Site Vender / Sponsor

I even did the "(Refresh usergroups from your forum software?)" last night to see if that made a difference. Did not.

Dan

well there is your issue your groups are not anyway near correct. Your names are all wrong you must have installed this incorrectly as a standalone and then went back and correctly installed.

For example in vb the first 4 groups are this

Unregistered
Registered
Users Awaiting Confirmation
Coppa
Super Moderators
Administrators
Moderators

Thats a normal vb order from top to bottom see how yours are messed up. A resync is not going to help you because we cache groups so you do not lose your settings a resync will only add new groups.

You must rename your groups as I posted in that order and then set usergroup permissions and then category permissions.

That seems to have worked. Thanks

Don't know why that happened. Unless something screwed up when i was installing, but, i was doing intergration from the start.

But working now. Still strange

Thanks Again
