vBulletin + Photopost Classifieds + Joomla

Hi All,

I am working on bridging Joomla with vBulletin in order to use the same user database. I will be using JFusion if you have heard of. I was just wondering if this could cause any issues in terms of the integration of PPC?

PPC is using the same database of my vBulletin. Could this cause an issue? Should I install PPC in using its own database?

What I want to do is get all of them (Joomla, vBulletin and PhotoPost Classifieds) use the same user database.

Regards,
Omar

Classifieds integrates with vbulletin so as long as you dont mess around with the default vbulletin login process info you will be fine.

Thanks Chuck

Just to update whomever is interested in this and would like to do the same. I have completed the integration and it went GREAT .. worked really good .. I am just tweaking bits and pieces to get it looking SEXY

I would appreciate it if someone could just tell me if it is possible to turn VBs navbar off in PPC?

Hi

I am a little bit in a similar situation as Omar Al-Ansari. I have an integration vb3.8x with PP, RP and CL.

I will exchange vb with phpbb3. That is not a problem.

I want to use now also Joomla with Jfusion and keep at the same time the integration with phpbb3, with PP, RP and CL. According to this thread, this seems to be possible.

The problem for me starts here:

Because in the future, I do not want to use the forum registration system of phpbb3 as the master db. I want to use the Joomla registration system as the master db and hide all other links to register or logins in phpbb3, PP, RP and in CL).

Why do I want to do it this way around?

Because there seems to be no paypal subscription plugin available for version phpbb3 (in vb it is a standard feature). But there are some available for Joomla.

So my thinking was, that I do switch master and servant database to be able to use a Joomal PayPal subscription system instead.

Now I read this comment and see already dark clouds coming over my head :

Does this mean, my idea described above will not work woth PP, RP and CL? does this means, the forum software has always to be the master in order to work properly with PP, RP and CL?

If this does not work, does anybody knows a solution to implement PayPal subscriptions into phpbb3?

Our products work with the integrations we state so there is no way around that Dirk. As far as phpbb3 mod questions that might be best asked there. I doubt your going to find any answers here on a forum question.
