What is PAL?

For some reason I'm just missing what PAL stands for? What is it?

I'm looking under "sidebar options" and it talks about custom PAL's and references other options with PAL.

So what does it stand for and what is it?

Off hand I dont know what it stands for. It was a term used in the old ubbthreads days when Michael and I hung around there creating hacks/mods.

The pal is in essence those little blocks you can turn on and off all on the sidebar etc like statistics calendar etc.
