Send notice for expired ads

We have ads that were set up for 30 day intervals. It has been 50+ days for ads and no expiry notice has been sent to them. How do I fix this. I ran the sendnotice.php and I saw the screen fillup with noticifications.

How can I have this done automatically? Also, how do I find all ads in a category that are about to expire and send notifications.
