HTML not working properly

Hi there

When an ad is placed, and in the description field, where the user wishes to place a pictur hyper link, it does not generate the proper HTML coding

eg:

New From http://www.nfusiondtv.com">w...>

Price includes nfusionforum.com member discount

I have tried to edit this in the admin, using anchor, then it doesn't appear at all......

Any ideas?

I guess your referring to the WYSIWYG editor which is an external program from another company

To my knowledge this works fine as long as you do as they allow this.

You would highlight a word or url and hit the thing that looks like a chain link which is the link tag and you put the url you wish to link.

re-uploaded showproduct.php file
no change

hyperlinks do not work
whether it is typed out http:/www.domain.com or www.domain.com or trying to insert the link and anchor technique
no go
the entire html gets all pooched
check same link as before

this was put in as just www nfusiondtv com
and that's what it comes back as

You need to reedit your content

I just gave you two separate site examples one with vb3 and one without in both cases links work fine.

Hi there...

In the options of a template where you list the conditions, I need to add refurbished.

I made the changes to this uploadproduct4.tmpl and set the permissions, now thedropdowns show Excellent, Good, Fair - then a space - then poor

How can I add refurbished?

You need to either add a phrase in the database for that or hard code the option refurbished in that template I assume.

ok-update:

hyperlinks appear to work fine in FOR SALE area (template)
problem exists in WANTED and BUSINESS areas (templates )

can be recreated with any usergroup in those two areas.
any ideas ?

PS: we have reuploaded the uploadproduct1-4 tmpl to no avail
still have problem

The code to display a product description is not any different between any of the templates. The templates in question are called showproduct not uploadproduct

no change

If i post an ad as admin, it works fine
as a user, it is broken again

ok, found the problem
looks like it was a category viewing permission problem on the usergroup in question that was only not appearing on those templates

Tis is extremely wierd.... rahter intermittent

Still cannoy get the HTML working correctly, we have uploaded, reinstalled, etc....

The decription field in the preview window looks correct, even the html, but the ad displays broken html as follows:

You have not given edit permissions for the usergroup so I cant see anything but the ad

I have shown many examples from two sites and two different integrations as well as posted on your site with no issues as well so very strange.
