| User's Avatar Size
Hello,
I noticed that there is no setting for the user's avatar size. The forum (SMF) controls this normally. In this case someone is referencing something from Photobucket or something like that. Now the Classifieds apparently does not have a setting that I was able to find in order to control this size.
Can you give me a tip on how I can set the size of the User's avatar? I would like to make them all 100x100 pixles just like on my forum. Otherwise it ruins the layout of the classifieds.
Thank you

You can edit member.php and change the 120's on this line to 100 Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Hmm. Well if that was working to reset it to 120 then i would still be ok. So I don't think that is working for my scenario. This avatar image was over 800 pixels.

I forgot how to enable to view user avatars now that I turned it off. Refresh my memory and then I will turn it back on and give you a URL and Image to see it. I saw during a search that this was an old bug but the topic was never clarified as resolved.
In addition to that - wouldn't resize_jpeg assume the jpeg image was on the local box? What if it's on photobucket?

Chep user avatars are uploaded to your classifieds and we process the avatar and store it in the data/avatar directory. Photobucket has nothing to do with it
If you want all future avatars to be 100 pixels not 120 then you would make the edit we are showing you. I am just trying to make sure your talking user avatars in a standalone classifieds. Users with forum integration do not have this ability so hense we need clarification on what your doing or expecting to happen. it sounds to me like your integrated with a forum meaning there is no avatar processing in classifieds.

Interesting. Yes I did merge this with the forum. I can live with this but I would call it a bug.

call what a bug?
what forum are you integrating with. feel free to post a url to some site that you wish to suggest might be a bug. Your really not making it too clear what your issue is.
If for instance your integrated with smf we full the users smf avatar so how is that a bug?

I don't want to get into a semantic debate. I will just leave avatars turned off because they are impacting performance and do not enhance the features to begin with. The forums do handle this correctly though. Thank you for your help.

well what do you mean by this
It is not a debate you really have not made clear what your issue is.
example http://hunting-washington.com/smf/cu...vatar_2158.png
here is the forum avatar in the forum for that test account you sent.
If you turn avatars on in classifieds you should show that user avatar under their name on ads.

Chuck you are correct with this specific example. However there is another example and that is user can also use an existing avatar on a different server. That is when the the issue happens.
I have my own pic:
Specify your own avatar by URL. (ex: http://www.mypage.com/mypic.gif)
