Payments not working

I know I did something, and I have tried to solve it with no luck. I now have to ask for help.

I have two classifieds. One has the charges working fine. It was a new install of 3.04 (carscene.ca).

The other is a well used one which has had many upgrades since the original purchase (teambuick.com). I have the payment options the same in both. I have the catagories entries the same. But when I try the upload in this old copy, there are no charges. I have overwritten virtually all files, but I end up the same. I also know at one time it was working.

I am trying to charge 2.00 for highlight, etc. but the charges do not show on the upload page.

well what version is this your having trouble with?

I am unaware of any issues with payment as long as payment is set to yes for the usergroup and charges are actually applied to the categories in question you want payment to occur but then again I can only state from the code we have released here. If your version is years out of date my suggestion would be to upgrade that copy.

I tried upgrading, to 3.04 and now 3.05. I haven't tried the new beta yet. Should I try an upgrade to that now or try and find the problem?

what your saying is one site with 3.05 works and another does not? That to me sounds like a setting is off somewhere. Do you have freeads set to something for the specific group because remember if you allow a specific amount of free ads it will override payment.

I think you must be right (as usual), because this morning I received a payment! I am going to have to just keep looking. I am going to use another computer to check with another login.

yeah just check your usergroup settings. If you do have an amount other than 0 for freeads for a group then users in that group do not pay until they have more than the amount of freeads you specify. The payment options are pretty specific and explicit. If you have the same code on two sites on works and the other does not then your settings are not right on the one.
