Item Sizes

Is there any way to add a drop-down box for the buyer to pick an item size in an auction. Right now I can create an extra pull-down blox for the auctioneer to choose what size he lists, but some folks are selling things like t-shirts and we dont to list a separate auction for each size shirt since the shirts are otherwise all the same.

Would be nice to make a custom field where the buyer chooses a drop down box size then clicks Buy Now.

Can this be done?

You can define extra fields per category in the admin edit categories area.

Correct. But I dont want the person creating the auction to choose a size from a list. I want the BUYER to choose the size from a drop down list in the auction itself so duplicate items with different sizes do not need to be double listed (or infinitely listed).

Not really sure what your trying to do but I can tell you thats not something within the software.

actually its pretty simple. i have a guy who wants to sell some t-shirts. however t-shirts come in all sizes. he does not want to list the exact same design of the t-shirt 5 fives and create 5 separate auctions for each sized shirt when the shirts are all the same. he wants to list it once and let the buyer decide which size he wants.

is there any way to allow a form field somewhere where the question can at least be asked to the buyer can specify the size?

Otherwise the products in my classifieds are going to needlessly quintupled. Thanks.

No there is not because there is no way for a buyer to interact that way. Ebay does not even work this way and thats the biggest classifieds around.

why not have him list the auction once and tell the buyer to specify size when he orders. when the auction ends the seller is given the buyers details and they interact to complete the order and payment they can discuss sizes then. Or if the seller is allowing buyit now then when the buyer buys it through the buyit now link he can list in the comments of his order in paypal the size he wants.
