Not all items displayed on a page?

Straight Razors - Straight Razor Place Classifieds

Hi,

I've noticed that when scrolling through a category, some pages show less than the item per page amount. Example on the page I just posted above, there are 4 items listed, but the per page amount is 12.

Can you point me in the right direction on this?

have you visited your ADMIN PANEL TO DELETE EXPIRED ADS?

THat was it.. Sorry, I just assumed that when someone sold or expired, it was removed from the DB.. I didn't realize they had to be deleted..

After removing all of the expired ads.. I still have the same issue, although not quite as bad..

How long do you elect to show expired sold ads in the admin? This is going to affect what displays also because if you dont delete them all and they are older than the cutoff we do not show them thats why you dont see the whole number on that specific page

Hi Chuck,

First off, thanks for the amazing support. Your always really quick around here..

Secondly, I'm running 3.03. We show sold ads for 7 days..

So let's say I have a ad that runs for 30 days. And it's sold on day 29.. The ad will not be shown after day 30.. And that's what's causing the pagination to be a little wonky?

what I am saying is it looks to me like you have ads that are between 7 and 14 days that are not shown. The admin panel only deletes ads over 2 weeks old automatically.

Otherwise go through the expired que etc delete all ads and then you should see things work fine.

The expired que is completely empty.. I emptied it out last night, while working through this.. Perhaps I've got something set wrong, and I'm not relaying it correctly. would you like an admin login into the Classifieds area?

yeah I would have to see the setup in admin and maybe even your files on the server. The line that controls what prints is shown above.

There is your issue sold ads versus expired.

The ads are sold but the user most likely selected the no expire duration on upload.

See you can remove those as you see fit. You can also edit the template uploadproduct and remove that duration under the select box option for noexpire.

Got it. If I may, let me ask a follow up question.. Then I think we'll all be sorted.. If an item sales, it expires in 7 days. Meaning it goes into the expired que, and I can remove from there?

If an item expires and doesn't sell, then it goes into the expired que, and I can delete from there?

Do items ever leave the expired queue on their own?

I've removed that unlimited option, and thought I had gotten all of them out of the DB. Obviously not.. Thank you.

3. yes any ad expired over 2 weeks is deleted when you visit the admin panel. we added that because users always forget to delete expired ads.
