Expired Ads Marked Sold

When my classified ads expire they are all marked as sold. I don't think its supposed to work this way.

What can I do to prevent this?

I have the auction option turned completely off. I don't allow any auctions. So, it's not that.

I wouldn't mind if they were marked EXPIRED... but not SOLD.

Also, ads marked sold end up in my Random Classifieds display. How can I stop sold/expired ads from showing up there, too?

EXPIRED IS SOLD.

If you do not want expired/sold ads to appear on your install then in the showcat options set the option to display sold ads to 0 then they will not be shown on your install.

Basically when status is not 0 which happens when an ad expires/sold status gets updated to that date. the only different between a user marking his ad as sold and the cron script expiring ads is when a user marks his ad as sold the price is added to your stats.

On "Show Ads Options" I have "Number of days to show sold/closed ads?" set to zero. On my "Show Categories Options" admin page I don't have any similar option.

I'm I in the wrong place? Or is the "Show Ads Options" the right place but not working properly?

Show Ads Options is fine.

There is no way physically possible for expired or sold ads to appear in any of the 3 random ad blocks shown on our classifieds index pages. The query specifically has status=0
