Expired Ads Marked Sold When my classified ads expire they are all marked as sold. I don't think its supposed to work this way. What can I do to prevent this? I have the auction option turned completely off. I don't allow any auctions. So, it's not that. I wouldn't mind if they were marked EXPIRED... but not SOLD. Also, ads marked sold end up in my Random Classifieds display. How can I stop sold/expired ads from showing up there, too? |
EXPIRED IS SOLD. If you do not want expired/sold ads to appear on your install then in the showcat options set the option to display sold ads to 0 then they will not be shown on your install. Basically when status is not 0 which happens when an ad expires/sold status gets updated to that date. the only different between a user marking his ad as sold and the cron script expiring ads is when a user marks his ad as sold the price is added to your stats. |
On "Show Ads Options" I have "Number of days to show sold/closed ads?" set to zero. On my "Show Categories Options" admin page I don't have any similar option. I'm I in the wrong place? Or is the "Show Ads Options" the right place but not working properly? |
Show Ads Options is fine. There is no way physically possible for expired or sold ads to appear in any of the 3 random ad blocks shown on our classifieds index pages. The query specifically has status=0 Code: Content visible to verified customers only. |
