Removing Expired Ads

The process for removing expired ads is better in 3.0 than it was in 2.6 but when I use the Bulk Action to remove expired and sold ads, after submitting the form, it always refreshes the page to the original posted category of the last item on the Expired Queue page rather than back to the Expired Queue.

Is there some way to fix this? If you don't pay attention you can easily delete valid ads you don't want to delete.

No sorry not a way to do that as the last posted ad would always be the category posted back to the program. if we remove that then things would start back nowhere.

Also ads older than 2 weeks are automatically deleted without any interaction from the admin when they visit the admin panel.

Is there any way to shorten that 2 week time? I try to delete the ads every 3 or 4 days.

Maybe its not an issue any more. In ver 2.6 Expired ads were getting marked sold -- no they were not auctions, but still they were marked sold -- and yet they would show up in the Random Ads display. People clicked on those ads and were put off by all the sold notices on ads being displayed.

So, I got in the habit of deleting them to lesson this.

I don't know if 3.04 is doing the same thing or not. I'm just in the habit of doing this.

Also, do the ads self delete without my visiting the Admin control panel or only if I at least visit the admin control panel?

Only if you visit the admin panel

You can only shorten the time by altering this line in adm-misc.php

Ok, got it and that's seconds. I changed it to 86400 and now it deletes them after two days.
