I have a PHotophost classified up and running.. can i install/setup PHPBB3 and integrate with existing my photophost classifieds?

You would need to install phpBB3 and then reinstall your classifieds to integrate with phpBB3. The integrations are with the forum user databases not the other way around not with the classifieds users.

The good thing is since classifieds are a temporary placement it should not be that bad starting over.

my photopost is already months running, can i import the users or photopost to forum database?

Not without writing some script I would assume or hand registering those users in phpBB

There is a script we have in the import forum that can realign the userids on photopost based on username after you ensure the users exist in the forum and reinstall photopost software to integrate with that forum so you do not lose ownership of stuff.

By nature integrations are not designed to be switched because of the user consequences and takes alot of work. Lots of threads on here under search term switch integration where I lay out all steps.
