Editing 'Deleted Ad' email?

Hi,
I'm trying to edit the text in the automated email users get sent if an Ad is 'deleted by the Admin', but can't find where the text is? I've tried searching in the 'Edit Language Strings', 'Edit Templates' and also had a look in the database but I can't find it. The text I'm looking for is as follows:

Quote:

I'm sorry, but the ad you submitted to <mysite>, titled "<your_ad>", has been deleted. Some reasons for ad deletions include:

- Ads that were partially uploaded/incomplete
- Extremely poor quality/images (impossible to make out the image
itself)
- Ads that did not conform to our published site contribution and usage guidelines such as offensive
- Ads which were not paid for after submission

If you would like to submit another ad, please return to our ad upload
form:
Also

For a 'Wanted' Ad in my classifieds, if somebody has found the item they have listed, their only option is to click 'Sold It' which then puts 'Sold' in there Ad. Is there a way to add 'Found It' to a Wanted Ad.

Many thanks
Ron

You can change language strings in the emails.php file located within your languages/english directory. Likewise if you wish to override or edit language strings on the alternate template types you may edit the appropriate file like say showproduct3.php etc for the ad type you wish and override the default language string.

I don't guess I understand where I can change this. I changed the deleted email in the languages, english, email.php file to this:

- Ads that were partially uploaded/incomplete.
- You had marked the item sold and it was subsequently deleted by a moderator.
- You deleted your own ad.

I did that about 4 weeks ago but today one of my members got the standard email:

- Ads that were partially uploaded/incomplete
- Extremely poor quality/images (impossible to make out the image itself)
- Ads that did not conform to our published site contribution and usage
guidelines such as offensive
- Ads which were not paid for after submission

I just double checked that I DID upload the edited file and it is there and reads exactly the way I changed it. Where am I missing this?

classifieds has not used a hard coded emails.php file since before version 3.

Your language strings are located in admin under the language string editor.

Thank you. I found it and made the change. So do I not even need the emails.php file? I wonder how many such files are left over from previous versions.

there is no need for emails.php if you look in our current code you will see no such file.
