(): Sorry, this image type is not supported yet.

I have this problem when trying to post ads..anyone know howto solve this

That error usually suggests one of two things.

1. Check your GD2 version in PHPINFO in Admin and see that the image you are trying to upload is supported. It could also be the image was renamed but is some other image type. You can try deleting the image and processing another one.

2. Check that your data and uploads directories are 777 at every level.

hi..

i uploads photo old category.

but i create a new category and upload photo error mesage "(): Sorry, this image type is not supported yet. "

Well I would suggest you see that safe mode is not on in PHPINFO in admin. If safe mode is on then your actual category would not be created which could cause this issue.

Permissions are always the culprit with this error. Either wrong permissions or permissions because the category does not exist.
