User Edits Ad - Post Dissappears

My users pay $1 to post an ad and the software handles everything automatically and it works great. Except...when the user edits an ad it disappears from the listing and has to be approved by a moderator before it shows back up.

I guess I could change the option and not allow users to edit their own ads but is there a way to allow them to edit their own ads and not have them have to be approved?

If you have moderation set to yes for the usergroups if they edit the ad etc then it will be submitted back to moderation que for approval. If you do not want moderation you need to turn this off in Admin => Edit Usergroups.

Will this then prevent feedback from being moderated?

Yes that is correct moderation moderates posting of ads comments to ads or feedback.
