How Do I - Increase the default number of ads displayed

How can I increase this default number?

I'd like 20 to be the default number of ads shown.

I think I sorted it by adding this to showcat.php is this ok?

There is no specific setting for this. You would need to edit showcat.php and add the line in bold where noted.

Your perpage if one is not set is determined by the number of thumbnail colums you have.

I have NO file in the NAME showcat.php where can find it ?

If your using Classifieds you would indeed have a showcat.php file and that is what this discussion here is about our classifieds product.
