Usergroup Access Permissions Problem

Hey,
have a problem with the access permissions of a usergroup.

I'm using smf script with additional usergroup "Händler" (professional sellers)

in photopost classifieds I've separated the selling part for normal users and "Händler"

you can see it at Piccolo Forum Marktplatz - Hauptindex

the Verkaufe part is the selling part for normal users and the "Gewerbliche Anzeigen" part for the professional sellers

in the access permission for "Verkaufe" and all its subcategories, I set permissions like
this

but now, if I log in as an "Händler" and click on uploading a new add, I can also upload under Verkaufe and not only at "Gewerbliche Verkäufe" as I set in permissions

Any idea why it doesn't work or what I have to do so that it works?

an other question: is it possible to show in every member profile the usergroup, which is set in smf automatically? (so that other users know if you are admin, global moderator, Händler or normal member)

and can I change to show as username in the classifieds the "shown username" of smf script? at the moment, it always show the login username of smf as I registered like Admin in my way and not my real name

Best regards
Stellan

Actually you might want to check permissions on those subcats not that main cat because that main cat you cant upload images to. You need to set permissions by category each and every one or very least check the apply to children box on the top level cat when editing settings.

I guess if you modify your quote in some way to do that.

If your using smf try upgrading to smf 2 the latest and then you can switch your classifieds integration to smf2 not smf and I beleive that integration may have that capability to display some other name but I know our main smf integration uses the memberName field in SMF.

as i said before, I set permissions in Verkaufe and also in all the subcategories like "Schuco Piccolo", "Schuco sonstige"...

there is always the problem, that people in usergroup "Händler" can upload in these categories

can I check permissions in any file via ftp? perhaps, the admin menu didn't change it in the .php file

Regards

Your issue is easy.

Look at your membergroup setup in SMF. Lars_teply is listed in both the Handler and Mitglied usergroups in your SMF

So thus of course he is going to have access to that category on classifieds because although Handler usergroup does not have access his Mitglied group he belongs to does.

got an answer via mail, because don't know how to make it to delete Post count based groups in smf so that the people only belong to one group and not to the other

yeah I will tell you the same thing I told you there. You will need to ask SMF support how to operate there forums and get those users out of some subgroup.
