Link Removal on Home Page

Okay guys, one more qestion before my wife yells at me and makes me get off the computer....


I'd like to remove the "Place an Ad" link from the main index page, but have it display within the 3rd level sub-categories (the end of the line).

I want to do this, because ALL of my ads are "for Trade", and I don't want to confuse anyone by having two pointless categories as options- "For Sale" and "For Trade".

I'm thinking I can edit the php code to to say something like "IF (3rd level category) show "Place an Ad". If else, DO NOT show "Place and Ad".

Has anyone ever done this? Any programmers want to make any money if not??

Not really how it works.

If you dont have any categories assigned to for sale or any other template you can turn off those ad types then when you hit upload ads you will get a cat list

You can turn them off in ad types in admin. Make sure as I noted in my other thread you create the proper templates and language files for any new ad type you define per the linked thread.
