Editing the Main Menu

Hello everyone!

I'm kind of moving some stuff around my photopost install at

holstertrade.com

Basically, I want to find the template that I need to edit in order to take out (and add new) some of the links from the main menu at the top of the page, where it says 'forum', 'my ads' and such. I'm hoping to 're-style' that menu bar a little bit.

If you could point be in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

THANKS!

Pat

You can edit the menubar template in admin => edit templates and add links in that template next to the menu variables.

PS- What I mean, is inside the menubar template all the code there is, is:

<?php
echo <<<PPPRINT
$ppopen
<tr>
<td class="tcat" width="100%" colspan="2">
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td class="{$Style['menubarnb']}" width="50%" align="left" valign="middle">
&nbsp;$menu2
</td>
<td class="{$Style['menubarnb']}" width="50%" align="right" valign="middle">
$menu&nbsp;
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
$ppclose<br />
PPPRINT;

?>

Lastly, how would I go about removing some of the links, like the one to 'forum'?

Thanks!

You remove forum by turning off the message board in photopost admin forum settings options. You turn off messages by turning off the messaging system in admin global options.

The main menu links are actually a php function in pp-inc.php called topmenu and it generates $menu and $menu2. To place your own links as noted feel free to post html links on either side of the menu variables. Otherwise your going to have to edit php code yourself in the actual function and that would be considered code hacking and your free to post in the MOD CORNER on that as that is outside the product support.

I'm looking to hire a programmer to take care of this, but I have one more question:

Under 'forum settings' in Global Options, I removed a couple things that kind of broke the photopost install. I removed:

1 )URL to your forums main directory (optional)
This is the virtual path to your forum installation.

http://www.holstertrade.com/forum

2) Forum database table prefix

forum_

My question- is there a *.php file that I can manually re-enter this information?

THANKS!

No there is no php file to restore those and yes you cant do that.

You need to update the database with the proper settings which I did for you.

Code:
