Buy it Now is available to unregistered users

We're having an issue where unregistered users are able to use buy it now? We wish to allow unregistered users to VIEW ads but we don't want them to be able to upload (which they can't) nor do we wish them to be allowed to post or comment (which they can't) when an unregistered user tries to contact seller it does as it should and asks them to register. All that is good.

The problem comes in when unregistered users are allowed to use buy it now? Is this correct? Is there a way to only limit buy it now use (by buyers) to those groups about to post to or upload to a category?

The buy it now button does not show for guests

Looking at the code we surround that whole block with the if clause if userid is not 0 then show this.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thanks for the fast reply Chuck...

It does appear though that the buy it now button is also displayed in showproduct.tmpl. The check is missing there.

buy.php also doesn't check for unregistered users, so that they can
buy it if they now the right id.

Hi Chuck,
I'm working with Mark on this.
My fix was to check for $User['userid'] > 0 instead of $paypal != "". Does your way have a different effect?

It's showing for my guests/unregistered users and letting them go to PayPal. How do I shut it off? The quoted statement makes perfect sense. I just can't seem to find out how to shut it off.

Thanks

The current version has any code changes noted here and guests can not see the button that I am aware of.

If you select the "Allow Users to Buy your Ad via Paypal Immediately?" during ad creation, the "Buy It Now" is available to unregistered visitors and sends them to PayPal.
