Hi I have a few questions

Hi I just installed PhotoPost Classifieds and love it. So far so good.
But I have a few questions:

1. How do I make it so that I have to approve all ads before they show up?
I signed in as a regular user and posted an ad and it showed up right away. I dont want that, I want to approve it.

2. Im confused about letting users change their ads after they've been approved. I know they will want to.
Is it bad to allow this? Do people change their ads to spam or bad photos?

3. My PhotoPost is integrated with my Vbulletin. Is it possible to add a line under my logo in Photopost that says "Welcome to the Classifieds Area", and not have it appear in Vbulletin forum? How do I do that?

4. I want to allow users to post for free, but charge them if they want upgrades, like making their ad bold, highlighting it, etc. Is it possible to do this?

5. Is it possible to add a disclaimer on the site before buying or when registering? Like "Buyer beware" and "We are not reponsible for a bad transaction"?

6. It says I have a "wanted' and a "help wanted" section, but I dont see them. Where can i find them please?

7. Is it possible to let members preview their ads/auctions before submitting them?

thanks!

1. In Admin Edit Usergroups you would set moderation to yes for any group you wish.

2. You can allow or disallow this in usergroup editor for permissions, it is neither good nor bad it is personal preference.

3. http://www.photopost.com/forum/showp...61&postcount=3

4. You can place charges for highlight bold italic under each category in admin and then in edit usergroups make sure you mark yes for those options as well as payment.

5. You can edit whatever language strings you like in admin edit language. Only edit the terms between the quotes.

6. If you do not have any classifieds categories using those types just turn them off in ad types in admin.

7. No sorry

Hi Chuck,

Thanks very much!
Not having a preview might turn into a headache, because people will make mistakes, especially as they learn to list, and they wont be able to edit their ads.
Would it be possible to have that custom programming done?
thanks

I am not able to do any custom programming at this time as I am involved in programming new versions of classifieds and then reviewpost. You can allow people to edit their ads in edit usergroups in admin settings of the classifieds.

Say I want to limit it to 40 characters, how can I do that?

Hi Chuck,

I noticed an ad on the "Featured Ads" that appeared on my Vbulletin board had a long title and I had to manually go in and shorten it.

So Id like to shorten the amount of characters a user is able to put into their title of their ads, so all ads will have medium length titles and not long ones.

thanks
