The image.php file doesnt exist - where is it getting Called from ?

well it is not called from our software in any way so I can only assume your integrating with vbulletin and somewhere vb is calling for some file like that. Check the source of your page and see where its being called and you should be able to track where that link is and correct it to a full url and not a relative file so that type of file is found.

It seems to be coming from the classifieds script ( at probably the integration )

I have done a view source on both the classifieds index and the forum index - cant find that reference - its has to be called as a variable - just dont know where

we dont have a file called image.php in our software nor any calls to such a file.

If you view the source of your page you will see its your own code that register box you have written into vb custom wise.
