How do I add images to sub categories on index page?

How do i add small image thumbnails to sub-categories on the classified index page? I don't see the option within the control panel. There is an empty space where the thumbnails should be as can be seen on this image http://www.isarapix.com/pix94/1203588516.gif

You can tag an ad in that category to INDEX THUMB when you view an ad.
