Setting up sub-categories

I just purchased and set up ppClassifieds. I am running the script without any forum software and I am trying to set up the categories.

What I want to do is have a Category called "For Sale" with a sub-category called "Amateur Radio". The sub-category "Amateur Radio" has two sub-categories called "Ham" and "CB". I don't want the sub-category to be displayed until the user clicks on the parent link.

For example, Let's say I have 3 parent categories as shown below.

For Sale
Motor Vehicles
Marine

I would like it to display as above but when a user clicks on "For Sale" it would display all of the sub-categories under "For Sale".

If a user clicked on "Motor Vehicles" it would display all of the sub-categoies under "Motor Vehicles".

By the same token, if I have a sub-category under "For Sale" called "Amateur Radio", I don't want any sub-categories under "Amateur Radio" to be displayed until the user selects "Amateur Radio"

So then, what the user would initially see is a category called "For Sale".
If the user clicks on "For Sale" they would then see the sub-category "Amateur Radio". If they then clicked on "Amateur Radio" they would then see the sub-categories "Ham" and "CB".

If they then clicked on one of these they would see all ads listed in the category that they selected.

I may not be explaining this clearly but the gist of all this is that I don't want sub-categories displayed until the parent category is selected.

Can this be done?

Thanks in advance.

In Admin => Index Options set your category depth to 0 and your cats will display like you want.
