Placing an ad in multiple categories

I have a couple of questions.
1) Is it possible to place 1 ad in multiple categories?
2) After a new user registers for the classifieds section, they are taken to the forums section instead of the classifieds section.

1. No this is not possible unless one places the ad multiple times.

2. You must be integrated with a forum and therefore the forum code is going to behave how the forum code behaves. we have no control over some other products code.
