Question Waitng On Payment Ads..What happens?

Hi...

Not sure where this would go for it is an operation question.

When you have ads waiting on Payment, is the member who posted the ad made aware it was not yet paid for and offered a link to go make the payment and thus activate the ad? Or is it that once they start the process and click to go to PayPay and end up not paying, it just then dead until Admin action when looking at the Awaiting Payment Queue? At which time you only have two options, approve even though not paid, or delete. They really should be given the chance if they are not already after the fact.

Even if I choose to personally e-mail the people, I have no way to know what I would send them to be able to pay for the ad and active it without doing it all manually.

At this point I find myself spending way to much time on an area that should be self serving. (The marketplace once running really should be self running for the most part.) Thus if the system sends out reminders or something, that would be good to know.

Thanks

If you have a payment on an ad the user did not complete or intentionally did not return through the click return url they are all in your admin approve ad utility in the payment pending que.

Users are going through the steps I assume and deciding not to pay for the ad I would assume here.

Ok, so no reminder or anything like that is sent.

I can not assume the ads in the Payment Pending area are all not good for if they do not click the link to come back to the site after paying, then it still remains in that queue but was paid for. (Looking them up in PayPal to try to match payment that maybe in the queue is time consuming.)

Thanks.

Ok, thanks. This is just way to much work t have to try to match these each day because someone did not use the link to come back to the site thus listing the item. Not enough data is collected to help in the tracking down of the ads in the queue.

Any idea when you maybe looking to begin work on the new/fixed/updated version? I ask for I have choices to make.

Thanks.

I can not say when I will open another beta. We just released one of our new product versions a week ago for the gallery. I will say I am looking at classifieds being updated before reviewpost.

Quite simply the payment aspect works when a user pays and clicks the return url and you can test this yourself as I outlined and explained. I am glad to look at subscription based payment which is a different type payment but that is going to take time.

Your probally looking at 3-6 months easy.

Ok Chuck, thanks for the note on this. Yes, the system does work for payments if the members follow though. No issue with that.

But the other things I have found, like the reporting and just no history, can make for some issues.

I thank you for letting me know about the approximate time line. It is not something I can deal with for that long I am sorry to say based on the need and the traffic and will need to look at other software.

Thank you again.

That again is your call sorry but I think suggesting we might be able to roll out a new version with some new payment feature by Christmas is a good estimate on our part. Try using some of the other payment systems also. the software clearly functions and includes 4 separate payment processors. Adding a subscription service versus a payment system will take time.
