Archiving old ads and associated images

My website relies on past sales to provide valuable market pricing data. The past sales give a reliable indicator of current value and can be used to spot trends. Is their a way I can have old ads and there associated images dumped into an archive that can be browsed through, or if not, downloaded by me for my own use?

There is no archival feature. The entire content of the site is temporary and all coding leads to this. The stats will show how much money you have sold and number of items but thats all

O.K., do the ads hang around for a day or two after an auction or classified listing ends or is everything (including images) deleted right away?

You can select them to hang for a day or so sure in admin options. There is a cron task that you run to expire ads

Sorry to bring this up again, but would it be possible to have the CRON task run a script when it executes nightly, that moves the expired ad along with associated images to another section for storage? I would like to have a special category which is not open for public posts, and would only exist to serve as an archive for expired ads..would this be doable without any drain on server resources other than disk space (which I have plenty of at the moment)?

Your free to modify your scripts to suit your needs sure

You can discuss modifications outside product support in the MOD CORNER
