Show "Place an Ad" if user is not registered?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if I can show the "Place An Ad" link on all of my classified pages even if the user is NOT registered or logged in ? When they click it, the system will ask them to register.

New users are always asking me how to post a new ad and it's driving me nuts.

FYI, the link currently doesn't appear unless a user is logged in.

The link does not appear unless you set a usergroup to have upload permissions so something like you want requires code modification

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for the reply. My email inbox is full of requests for this link, usually by people who haven't signed up for an account. This happens to me about 3-4 times a day.

I believe it would be helpful to show the link to all users. Depending on their access level, clicking on the link would either work, or it would give them a message asking for a sign-on. Once they get to the sign-on page, they can either log in or sign up for an account.

To me it makes sense in it's existing status. But, I'm sure you're aware of how many users just don't take the time to figure it out on their own. By adding this ability, it will take another daily task off my plate (the same for others I'm sure).

Anyway, is there a forum where I can post a feature request? Perhaps for the ability to enable/disable the link in the admin console?
