Use forum style without header or footer

How can i use the style of my vb forum without having it use the vb header?

I've been reading through threads and see a few other users have the same problem i do where the size of the forum header and navbar mean its very difficult for a user to browse photos, the only option seems to be to switch the forum style integration off . not ideal as it means creating a new style and as i can't work out which part of the css code applies to each bit of the photopost screen that might take a while.

Maybe possibly remove the $header and $footer variables out of header-inc.php but this really borders on a code mod

why not make a new vb header for photopost and load that optional header like we use the fetch_template to grab the navbar template
