Move to root directory?

I have installed PP-classifieds (standalone) into a directory on my host server. I need its index page, index.php, to reside on the web directory, so when users type the URL they directly enter the application. The fact is I have already some registered users. I need to migrate the index.php to the web root directory, how do I do?
Thanks

Ed

You need to move the application to the root.

1. In Admin => Global Options fix the urls and server paths to point to the root and save.

2. Using FTP edit your config file and change the server path to the root.

3. Move all directories and files to the root

You should be up and running on the root now

Chuck
When you say "You need to move the application to the root" are you meaning I have to move everything BEFORE your step 1, or do I begin with step 1?

TIA
Ed

Hi Chuck,
I did everything you told me, but the sites layout, based on the dark.css stylesheet came up completely messed up.
No styles, no layout

Have I done anything wrong?
