| Pay Per Ad?
I have just bought Photopost Classifieds, but now found I can figure out if its possible to have a pay-per-ad system on it?
Anyone know if you can do this or any information on it?
Thanks

You set in edit usergroups in admin which groups have to pay and then you select in edit categories the amounts you want and then in payment options in admin you select the processor and that info to fill out

I'm new to this as well, but I was wondering if there would be any way to control different customer levels. So basically a paid membership level would be able to post ads for free, where as a free member would still have to pay per ad. Do you know a way of setting this up?

Yes in Admin => Edit Usergroups you set up who has to pay and who does not.

Thanks for that tip.
I have a question.
If I set it up so the user pays per listing; say they cancel the ad, does the system issue a refund or is there a way to make it do so within a certain timeframe?
I know we can do it manually from PayPal but just wondered if the system can do it automatically.

Does the classifieds software allow PayPal to be used between buyers? for example, I see something I want, can I click on a PayPal button posted by one of my members and the other can buy that item and send money right away?

When you upload an ad this option comes up:
"Allow Users to Buy your Ad via Paypal Immediately? Please note your email on the system here must match your paypal email account for you to enable this feature.:"
Alternatively they can always put a link to a separate PayPal account in the description of the item that someone can click on to go to PayPal and use whatever email address they choose. This wouldn't "BUY" the item though and it would still remain for sale in the Classifieds.
Hope this helps.

Sorry to bring this up again, but I think a "buy it now" feature would be great. Does the Photopost classifieds software have this function available to classified posters somewhere I am not seeing it? Would be nice to be able to click on a "buy it now button" that takes you to PayPal and marks the item as "SOLD".
If it doesn't, would it be that difficult to have coded? I might be interested in having someone write this feature for me if it's not to expensive..

well there is a buy it now for auctions in the software and users elect to use it on the upload page and then you will see a buy it now for the auction that is placed

Hello,
We have just started charging some users for ads and the other day we had our first paid ad, but the ad didn't make it to the moderator queue and has not been listed.
We are using paypal so once the user completes all of the ad forms they are directed to paypal to pay their fees. The problem I suspect is this: at the end of the paypal process you have to click a very small link that says 'return to merchant' or something. I'm pretty sure that if the user doesn't see that and fails to click it, the process is not completed and the ad will not get listed.
If that is the case can I manually list the item? It appears as though the product is stored in the database so I'm hoping there is a way to do this through the admin panel or by directly modifying a field in the database.
Thanks!
edit: Never mind I see that there is a 'pending payment' approval queue. It's just that this option is not visible from the 'approval/bulk actions' menu unless I click on a sub listing from the drop down first. Once there, 'pending payment' is then listed in the drop down menu.
