CL 2.61: Keep sold ads displaying for marketing

Classifieds 2.61

I just upgraded from 2.5 to 2.61. I just realized, that as soon as an ad is marked "sold" by the owner, the ad disappears immediatley.

How can I avoid this?

I would like to keep the sold ad with the "sold" in red for marketing purposes visible on my site like in version 2.5. We do not have that much traffic there and if all successfull sales are disappearing immediately, users will think nothing was sold successfully over my site and nobody will place an ad anymore.

So what do I have to change to keep the sold products for display as a teaser with the comment "sold"?

You can specify in admin how long to show a sold ad for by entering the number of days to show sold ads

Is there anyway I can get sold ads to continue to appear in the Recent Ads, Most Popular Ads and Random Ads strips, for the specified show sold ads duration?

You can up to 2 weeks sure. However after 2 weeks all old expired or sold ads are deleted since your cron task will expire anything that has expired past its enddate regardless of sold or not because they quite simply are both expired.

The switch in admin panel only works for ads sold but not expired yet. You can not supercede the expiration of ad without altering your code.
