sidebar additions

I would like to put advertisements for stuff from my site's e-store under he random ads on my sidebar. How can this be done? I've looked into the custom pal's but I'm not what kind of adjustments I would make to them. Would I just add the html needed to show the image and link?

The custompals are structured so you should know where to put the pal title and where it says stuff you put the html you want to display
