I would like to have the main entrance a portal page showing latest and random ads etc. Anyone done this and if so what portal software will work. Seems to me the same code that pulls the info from the sql data base for recent ads in photopost should work. Anyone done this?

You can search our mod forums to see if there are any mods for your portal but then all depends on what portal your using whether or not you might find anything there

Presently I have no Portal. I was hoping someone could suggest one that would do the job. Presently I just have an index.htm page with a link to photoposts directory. My reasoning is to better optimize a page for the search engines and also allow links to other content. So basically all I want to do is be able to display the latest ads on that index.htm or if need be .php.
Would this topic be better moved to the mods section?

You might want to tell some people about your site post a link tell people if you have a forum etc etc.

Okay well you are using internal installs so you would just make an html portal. On the invisionboard one you could see if invisionboard has hacks or purchased portals
