| Changing user's zipcode for reading ads.
A user put in a different zipcode to see how far away an item was for a friend.
How does he change that zipcode back to his own zipcode for reading?

The user finally dumped his cookies. Getting someone to delete "Temporary Internet Files" is a major undertaking that really should be a weekly event. Deleting the cookies is a nightmare for some people that don't write their passwords down for situations like this.
This program really gets the job done if they remember their passwords: http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/ |

I agree, their should be a way for a person to reset their zipcode. A link that would clear that cookie or what have you. (If you can set it, you should be able to clear or reset it.) I just ran into the above myself and can see this being more of an issue.
Thank you.

did anything ever come out of this? Perhaps a function or "one liner" that will kill the zipcode cookie, but not all the other cookies that he might have set (and doesn't want to lose)??

nope... it stays a bit longer.
But... are you suggesting that if it happens, we tell the guy to close his browser and then log back in again?

I can just tell you how it works and how a cookie works Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Notice the time is 0 that means that its only active for that browser session and when the browser closes it is suppose to go. Now maybe you suffer from a persistent cookie which is a browser issue sometimes one can have. Delete your cookies in the browser.

One of these days you will have to. Cookies where never designed to sit in a browser forever and thats the main cause of persistent cookies. Its kinda like when you let your kid play on your computer and then its slow and slower etc with spyware etc. You will eventually need to clear your browser stuff but for the purpose of this discussion just going in and deleting the zipcode cookie is fine.

I just don't want Photopost deleting ALL of my cookies... even those not set by Photopost. I changed the code so that when someone selects "Delete Cookies", it only deletes the ones set by Photopost.
