When member changes email address

A friend uploaded an ad and I was getting emails returned from people trying to contact him. I am using 2.6 integrated with Threads7. We figured out that his email address had changed and he still had his old addy in the forum. So he changed his email addy (actually I did) in teh forum, but the "Contact Seller" link still trys to send it to the old address. Is there some way I can change his contact seller email in his ad without him needing to re-upload his ad? I searched the database for pp-classifieds, but could not find awhen his email address is stored. I thought it would pull the email out of his profile from the forum, but doesn't seem to. What am I missing?

We grab the email from the users forum stuff. Make sure your changing the right email cause does not threads have two email spots a real email and display email

Yes chuck it does. I has a place for "real" email and another for public. We changed them both. Do you think the email is cached somewhere? Th eonly other place a user email shows up is in a field called "REGISTRATION EMAIL" (or similar) which contains the email address the member used when they first register on the forum. For Threads7 which one are you pulling?

Just a suggestion, you might want to consider changing it to pull the email from "USER_REAL_EMAIL" field in the ubbt_USER_PROFILE table instead of teh registration email (USER_REGISTRATION_EMAIL in the USER table) because if a person changes tehir email address, that gets reflected in the USER_REAL_EMAIL field, but the USER_REGISTRATION_EMAIL will stay the same forever, even if its wrong.

Thanks, Basil
