strange glitch

Whenever someone clicks on "my ads" or "ads from this renter", they are always redirected to "Home » Rentals by State/Province » Massachusettes » Users » ________", with the user's ads appearing beneath that category.

How can I fix ths?

Have you hacked code? You would definately need to post links cause using default code here is examples of what I see

Now note nothing shows as it should here so everything appears to be fine

If you go to ___________________ and click on any user, you will see that it always goes to massachusettes. I first noticed it months ago right after the clean install, but I was too busy at the time with other work on the site and forgot about it until yesterday when a user complained about it.

Okay this looks like a hacked install our menubar does not appear as it should etc

Please reupload clean core files and templates and see if this issue is resolved as I do not even see a photopost menubar at all

Chuck, I can tell you that it definitely has nothing to do with my menubar mod or any other hack, because it was doing the same thing when I had a clean install of 2.5, and also when I upgraded to 2.6 which where all fresh files.

I think I've figured out what's happened Chuck.

Upon a closer look, I notice that when people place an ad into Massachusettes, "User" becomes a part of the path to their ad. For example, when you click on the category "boston", here is the path:

Home » Rentals by State/Province » Massachusettes » Users » Boston

It SHOULD be Home » Rentals by State/Province » Massachusettes » Massachusettes Residential Rentals » Boston

When you click on "Massachusettes Residential Rentals", you get

Home » Rentals by State/Province » Massachusettes » Users

Massachusettes Residential Rentals is cat=500

So what's happened is that "Users" must have somehow been assigned cat=500 somewhere in the PP code.

I suspect that anyone who has 500 or more categories will run into the same problem. Is this correct?

Yes category 500 is set for the members gallery and is only an issue cause you have over 500 categories. I suppose you could hack certain files like pp-inc.php showcat.php to set that to another number like 5000 or so and in any links where we call the showmembers script

What if I just delete Massachusettes Residetial Rentals (cat=500), and then simply recreate the category again?
