Comments & Private Messaging

Didn't see anything in my search for these:

Is there a location to change it so that all comments are approved without admin/mod approval?

Is there anything that allows the "send private message" as a means of contact vs e-mail?

There is no PM function since this does not exist in our product. As far as approval simply set in admin => edit usergroups moderation to yes or no for each usergroup you wish.

I have all the "allow comments" set to YES in the usergroup settings. But when any users (other than one of the 3 admins) post a comment it doesn't show to the public till we go into the admin section and approve the commnets. Am I missing some other setting to allow these to show upon being made by the standard user?

the "Mod Access" and "Moderate Ads" are "yes" for admin and super mods and no for everyone else (which is the standard user groups)

You want to moderate ads for admins and mods?

It should be no for everyone if your not allowing moderation. what version of the software you using?

I think when we set it up we thought that was more along the lines of "who can moderate". Version 3.6.1 is what we use.

But, since it's already no for everyone else, shouldn't their comments show up then without us having to go in and approve them?

I've attached a screen shot of our settings.

they should yes and there is no version 3.61 of classifieds so again what version are you using

You should see this right in comments.php to see who is moderated

Code:

Sorry, I was going with vB. We are using version 2.5 of photopost.

I've attached a txt file with what my comments.pho looks like. I'm not experianced enought with php to follow how the code should look, and I don't see anythign in there that compares to what you listed.

Will reintalled various files overwrite what we've already done then? I don't care as much about the members to go through the pita this was to install and set up. Only cause I don't know what I am doing most of the time. :-)
