| Making classifieds my home page.
I would like to make classifieds my home page.
It is currently setup as www.domain.com/classifieds.
I would like the "classifieds index.php" to be in my root folder so that my classifieds page is www.domain.com.
I don't want to re-install classifieds and I don't want to do a re-direct.
Is this possible, and if so, how can this be accomplished?
Thanks.

well you would need to make sure your root is clean of all files you dont want overwrote if there are other names the same. Do this
1. In admin edit the urls and paths in global options to remove classifieds from the paths and urls and save.
2. Edit config-inc.php and remove /classifieds off the server path
3. Move all files and directories from classifieds directory to under the web root
YOUR DONE!

Should I rename the classifieds folder "forums" to something else?

No you can not you can safely house the vb3.php integration file in your forums root there should be no file conflicts

Easier way is to just post this in the body of your index.html homepage... Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

You said your forum exist in the directory forums not the web root
If your forum is in the webroot you can not move classifieds

yes my forum is in the directory "forums".
BUT, classifieds also contains a folder called "forums"... so if I copy over the classifieds files and folders into the root as you told me to do, the folder "forums" will get overwritten by the classifieds folder "forums" Quote: |

there is no index.php file in the forums subdirectory of classifieds. In fact there is only one file you use in there. it is called vb3.php and as posted can safely be copied to your forums subdirectory off the web root
