Please explain your short sentences above so we fully understand what your asking.

bidding amount is determined by the price the user places for the ad. The increments are then determined in bids.php

bidding and the buy button are two separated things. The buy now button only shows if the auction poster allows it and he sets a default buy it now price

I dont know what you mean by time enable buy

Dear Chuck S,

According to my knowledge, the ads poster could enable either "bidding" or "buy now" button at a time.

But, is it possible for the ads poster to enable two of the following buttons, together? One for "bidding", and one for "buy now". Which means, for exmple, the bidding would be due on a specific date. But if the customer would want to purchase that before the due date, the customer should be able to press "buy now" button, inorder to puchase the product.

Hoping for a reply soon.

Thanking you,
Junaid Abdullah.

Sorry your english I am not understanding but if your trying to ask me how to hack your files from the default code you will need to post in our mod forums.

I believe as I stated they are separate actions bidding and buying. You can buy an ad whether its an auction or an ad. You can post an auction without making it buyable. If a poster wants them both then they enable them both and puts in a reserve price to buy it now. When a user decides to buy the auction he buys it and the auction closes.

Actually, I am having the same results as Junaid in regards to auctioning. When I have an auction running, the option to "buy now" does not exist and therefore there is no option to buy the ad and stop the auction. Currently, even when I select allow users to buy with paypal, when starting an auction type ad, the buy it now button does not exist, and when i go to edit the ad it seems as if the option was never turned on in the first place. The only time i see buy it now is when i select allow payment on the ad AND when it is not an auction ad....how can I get it to function as you have described?

Please let's try to have beta software questions in the beta forum

You need to be using the latest software beta version if you dont see what is right there as stated in this thread.

This is an upload screen right from 2.6 beta 2 and there is an option to specify reserve price for an auction and to allow buy it now. If buy it now is set to yes whether it is an auction or an ad it will show a buy it now link when viewing the ad

Ah I see, sorry Chuck I didn't know that this was only on the beta 2.6 release, therefore making sense why I don't have it on the 2.5 version...
