prevent screen from stretching in "place ad" screen

When a user is attempting to place an ad, the screen stretches way out to the right due to the long "select category" scroll box, as seen here:

Not only does it not look very professional, but it may confuse the user. (Unless you scroll over to the right, you can't see the scroll down arrow in the category box)

Is there a way to prevent the screen from stretching, and if not, is there a work-around to this problem?

Your extremely long category names is what caused this not too much I can tell you there.

You can try in pp-inc.php removing this in bold if you like but it removes the breadcrumb trail to know what cat is to what parent.

Chuck, thanks for your speedy replies as always. Much appreciated!

There were a couple of very long category names that were causing the problem, which I trimmed down. It made a huge difference without losing any descriptiveness. I simply gave the problem categories a short name and moved the most of the text to the category description.

This way I keep the breadcrumb/parent cats.
