Delete sold images?

Yesterday I put up the random ads for sale bar on my Vbadvance homepage. It works well except for the fact that it shows pictures of items that I would have thought would be long gone. I logged into my host and went to the data file to look around, all the images are still there. I would have thought that once an item was sold it would delete the pics associated with it? I believe it has nothing to do with my time i have put into the Number of days to show sold/closed ads, which is two, as the ads are OLD!

Thanks in advance!

Maybe this thread could be of some help: (large folder was named medium)
Data directory cleanup

Edit: Sorry, no, you must have another problem.

You need to setup your cron task to expire ads

I set up a cron and get this error...

/bin/sh: /home/mrpainti/public_html/rccna/pp-classfieds/sendnotice.php: No such file or directory

Again thanks guys!

EDIT,

this is my command to run
/home/mrpainti/public_html/rccna/pp-classfieds/sendnotice.php

That is telling you that your cron task can not be found why not try the cron suggestions the thread I linked shows

Thanks for your help on this one Chuck and the link to the 'Cron Job' thread, I thought there was some communication with sellers missing. I installed the Cron Job no problem via the VB3 'Scheduled Tasks Manager' and it took about 1min to install and run. :)

However although it sends out the notices fine it still doesn't appear to have deleted the old sold Ads which are beyond the 'Number of days to show sold/closed ads?' setting.... any ideas?

Edit: Sorry buddy, I've just notice your comment:
"Our program does not delete ads. It is marked expired which includes sold etc and the admin deletes them. You can also set that users can delete there ads."

No problem the program will delete ads over 2 weeks old that are expired when you visit the control panel otherwise you can delete them before that by visiting the expired que in approve ads in admin.
