Auctions not working

I can't get auctions to function the way I believe they are supposed too. The catagory is set for them. When you create one it has the price and other listed options for placing one but doesnt give you anything else to seggust its a auction. Once the ad is placed there is no bid area and just shows asking price as if it is a regular ad. Is there something else I'm missing possibly in the admin area I need to set?

Also all the auctions have to be approved? I can't overide that to let them go through automaticly?

Also I do have my paypal added correctly

When a user uploads there is a checkbox to allow bidding this has to be checked for it to be an auction

If ads have to be approved check admin edit usergroups as you most likely have use moderation set to yes for that usergroup

Hi chuck, TY for the install today.
I am having the same problem, I did as you said in this post but it still does not work for me. This is as far as I get.

auctions work fine. Your issue has nothing to do with this post. Looks to me like you have a template type active and have no categories assigned to it. In admin ad types disable any template types you are not using or create some new categories and assign them to those empty ad types right now there are no cats to grab
