Comment box problem Needless to say I am vastly enjoying myself customising my version of classifieds, and getting to grips with the templates, etc., after having just recently purchased my licence. But I need a little help…. My site is a fixed width (780) and I have opted to have the sidebar show on all the pages. The only problem I have encountered is when the comments box is displayed, it whacks the entire sidebar to a mere strip, and expands the body of the page by several pixels. I have tried to change the columns of the comment box (they originally are set to 50) via the comments template, but for one or other reason any changes I make to reduce the column setting just won’t take. Any advise? Many thanks in advance!! |
Set your form box width in your stylesheet in vbulletin admin thats where the comments box gets its width from |
Thank for the very quick reply Chuck. I forgot to mention that I have not integrated with VBulletin, but am using the build in Classifieds comment and user system. |
well simply edit your quickcom template and make the rows and cols what you want that work with your style for the textarea row |
Way to go - problem solved!! Many thanks Chuck - I actually overlooked that template entirely. B=0 (never seen this smiley before!) but it is quite applicable - lol |
