How to remove/edit Announcement BOX

I have inserted html code in the announcement box...
But the problem now, I cant delete/edit that announcement box...

Please see the attached photo...I want to delete that banner ...
Please help

yeah a search should turn up the fix but I beleive this is what was posted to add to adm-misc.php around line 2162

I have the same problem with the contents of the announcement box. I can't delete of edit the announcement box. I exhausted my search. My line 2160 to 2166 reads like the following:

There is no ($id == "203"). Can anyone help me? I disabled the box so it will not display but would like to beable to utilize it again. Thanks, Detour

Are you talking about photopost classifieds? Some info would assist us here. If your talking classifieds just download the source and upgrade if your using an older version.

If you download the 2.5 build you should be able to just upload the templates and main core php files except the config files to make sure you have everything you need otherwise you would need to make the edit above.

I found a thread that stated more clearly exactly what and where to copy & paste the code to fix the Announcement Box. Worked like a champ. Thanks for the quick response. Sally
