Spider friendly URL's

You say:AllowPathInfo On

So I add this to my htaccess, domain no longer resolves, remove from htaccess

Write to host, they say:AcceptPathInfo On

So I add this to my htaccess file, phpBB2 boards no longer function, remove from htaccess

Is there a way for me to get this working without being told by my host that t"our support resources are not in place to assist with development issues" and being told on this end it is a server issue?

Well we are not just telling you its a server issue it really is a server issue.

If they say its AcceptPathInfo On then okay either works depending on the apache version

You must use that to make spider urls work.

We can help point you in the right direction, but our ability to influence your hosting provider is limited.

If Spinder URLs are to work on your setup, then I would expect with the line we suggest it would. Since it doesn't, we can only assume your setup falls into the category of setups that it won't work with.
