Foreign currency question

Whwn I post a new ad the currency symbol is blank, after editing it's correctly inserted.
Since we don’t use Paypal this section in the template is replaced by
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
$Globals['pp_lang']['default' is set to our local currency in the language file and local currency is defined in Global options/Currency symbol.

How do I format currency? We need “,” replaced by “.” and no decimals.

This would depend on your currency.

Currenty we have support for pounds us and euro. You would no doubt need to have the number_format function a bit in the scripts if your using a different currency

For the moment we can live with the incorrect number formatting, but we have to solve the currency symbol problem.
As said the symbol is missing (blank) when displaying an ad after it is posted. But if I list all ads, a dollar sign is shown in the list.
If I edit the ad, the local currency symbol is shown correctly in all views.

What is the purpose of the "Global options/Currency symbol" string setting if only USD/GBP and Euro is supported? (As said I have set it to my local currency)

The files need to remain intact. If I see your post and you need to use the default coding. If you post what symbols your trying to use I may be able to assist in telling you what to modify to add your currency in there but as posted we support pounds us dollars and euro currently

I got rid of the $ sign by setting Payment Options/PayPal currency code? blank. (Was set to my local currency). So now prices are given without currency symbol, which is ok for us.

Yes if your trying to use a currency symbol we do not support yet it would need to be added. You can add your currency thing to paypal but then in showproduct.php showcat.php you would need to add something new like in bold to those files like so because since we allow users to display the proper currency they want because of the buy now we need to code that in. Example given is to add french money

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
