integration on different domains

I do want to have integration with SMF 1.1+, but the sites must be on different domains. Is this possible? I really want only 2-3 groups and user/pass/profile matching. Is this possible ? Oh, and.. the two databases are on different servers :. So - different web and mysql servers, and totally different domains.

So long, i've managed to enter the username and password, the ppc recognizes if the user/password pair from the smf database is right, and then - does ignore the login and returns me if I am not logged in.

As long as the database where SMF is installed has external mysql access you should be able to integrate with the forum database.

Yes, i've managed to get "external" access to the forum database. Can you help me with the settings needed to do so? Right now it does not want to log me in.

If you can, please, point me out a link if the issue was discussed before.
(It is definitely not database problem, i do see the number of users, and i do pass authorization, checked - if i mistype the username or the pass, i do not)

I am really confused with the differences between the products, maybe it is explained for one of the other versions.

Another Q: how to disable html processing in the comments? IF the user posts html, i do want it showed as text, not being parsed.... and I did not find a setting in the admin panel of the classifieds.:/. I did see some point how to turn it off but did not find such "permission" in classifieds.

i did uncomment line 474 in smf.php
( print "($checkpass : $ID_MEMBER : $ID_PASSWORD : $lastp et cetera)

and i did clearly see that i do $checkpass but after the redirect i get 0 value for $checkpass.

Hello html will not parse unless you turn on the parse html option in Admin => Admin Options

Now as far as how to access you smf database I can not tell you what to use. Normally if your host allows you to use external access you would need to in your site control panel setup an external mysql user for access in your host that has the SMF site. They may need to assist you with this. You can then enter the proper mysql information on the classifieds install under user database settings.
