I can't change my index options anymore

I put a simple link <a href... tag into my index announcement box, and now for some reason i can't change my index announcements. When i click on save changes, the same message just reloads. Also when looking at the index options, the box appears "broken". The message spills out of the box into the table that encodes it and some random code is also spilled out. Is there anyway to hard reset the index options?

thanks chuck! Is there anyway to make the announcement box 400 characters as opposed to the 200?

Sorry nope not without modifying your database field as its a varchar field which has a limit actually of 255 characters max
